VASCULAR SURGERY

Endovenous Ablation of Varicose Veins

With endovenous ablation, heat is used to treat varicose veins, which are often the saphenous veins. When a damaged vein is closed, the pressure in the smaller varicose veins is reduced. The procedure is a less invasive option than vein stripping surgery. You may resume your normal activities shortly after the procedure.

Treatment

It is an outpatient procedure with local anesthesia; you are totally conscious and recovery is speedy.
